Kuwait and China Discuss Shared Interests and Regional Developments

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 24: Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah met with Chinese Vice President Han Zheng on Monday during his official visit to Beijing.

According to a statement issued by Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Jarrah conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah to Chinese President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, and Vice President Han Zheng.

He also conveyed their wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the Chinese government and people.

The meeting focused on the longstanding and historic relations between Kuwait and China, with both sides discussing ways to further strengthen and expand their strategic partnership across various fields in pursuit of their shared interests.

The two officials also exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments and discussed issues of mutual concern.
