MANAMA, Jan 19: Bahrain’s Supreme Council of Health (SCH) Chairman, Lieutenant General Dr. Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, received a Kuwaiti health delegation led by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, in Manama on Sunday to discuss enhancing cooperation in the health sector.
The meeting, attended by Bahraini Minister of Health Dr. Jaleela bint Sayed Jawad Hassan, focused on strengthening collaboration between the two countries, exchanging experiences, and integrating health institutions to improve the quality of medical services. Both sides reviewed successful practices and discussed areas of mutual interest aimed at raising healthcare standards across the brotherly nations.
Dr. Sheikh Mohammad highlighted the importance of continued communication and active health partnerships to achieve shared objectives, praising the longstanding and developing relations between Bahrain and Kuwait, particularly in healthcare.
On the sidelines of the visit, Dr. Al-Mutairi, accompanied by Bahraini Undersecretary Dr. Lu’lua Shuwaiter, toured the National Bank of Bahrain Multiple Sclerosis Center. The delegation was briefed on the center’s medical and rehabilitation services, designed to enhance care for multiple sclerosis patients. The Kuwaiti delegation commended the center’s advanced facilities, specialized care services, and state-of-the-art equipment, emphasizing the value of learning from Bahrain’s experience to strengthen regional healthcare cooperation.
The visit underscored the commitment of both countries to exchange expertise, implement best practices, and develop medical services in line with international standards.
