KUWAIT CITY, Dec 20: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received a series of congratulatory messages from key Kuwaiti figures on Wednesday, extending their best wishes as he officially assumed the role of the 17th Amir of the State of Kuwait by taking the constitutional oath.

Speaker of the National Assembly, Ahmad Al-Saadoun, conveyed his heartfelt congratulations, recognizing the esteemed role that His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad played in the preceding period.
