Kuwait Airways cancels several flights amid regional security concerns.

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 17: Kuwait Airways has announced the resumption of its scheduled flights to Dhaka, Bangladesh, via King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, as part of its ongoing efforts to expand its network during the current operational circumstances.

The service, set to begin on April 24, 2026, will operate twice weekly. Passengers will be transported overland through the Nuwaiseeb border crossing before connecting to flights from Dammam.

The move forms part of a wider network expansion strategy that has recently seen the airline introduce multiple destinations through Dammam, including London, Cairo, Istanbul, Lahore, Amman, Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Chennai, Manila, Paris, and Colombo.

Captain Abdulwahab Ibrahim Al-Shatti said the resumption of the Dhaka route reflects strong passenger demand and the airline’s continued commitment to restoring and expanding key destinations. He noted that the carrier is working to ensure operational efficiency while maintaining smooth travel experiences for passengers.

Al-Shatti added that the airline has mobilized resources to manage travel requests and continues to coordinate with relevant authorities inside and outside Kuwait to support its operational plans. He emphasized that passenger and crew safety remains a top priority.

He further highlighted additional passenger services, including assistance with Saudi Arabia visa applications for residents with confirmed Kuwait Airways bookings, as well as promotional shopping offers in cooperation with Al-Khiran Mall.

The airline confirmed that bookings are available through its customer service call center, WhatsApp support, and official sales offices, as it continues to adjust its operations in line with current regional conditions.
