Kuwait Airways receives new airbus increasing fleet to 33 aircraft

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 24: Kuwait Airways has acquired and taken delivery of its ninth Airbus A320neo aircraft, named “Burgan,” which is set to enter commercial service. Abdulmohsen Al-Fagaan, the Chairman of KAC, announced on Sunday that the addition of “Burgan” brings the total fleet size to 33 aircraft, including three A330-200s, seven A320-200s, and ten Boeing 777-300ERs. The KAC fleet also comprises nine A320neo carriers and four A330-800 planes.
Al-Fagaan mentioned that the airline has secured a deal with Airbus for the purchase of six neo321A and ten 777-300ER carriers in the coming years. Describing the newly acquired “Burgan,” he highlighted its advanced technology, passenger comfort, and fuel efficiency.
Established in 1943, Kuwait Airways launched its first flight in 1954, with the Kuwaiti government acquiring full ownership in 1962.
