KUWAIT CITY, July 13: Kuwait Airways signed a strategic partnership agreement with Taly, a buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) service provider, to offer passengers a flexible payment solution allowing them to pay for airline tickets in four equal interest-free installments starting August 1.

Acting Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait Airways Abdulwahab Al-Shatti stated that the agreement will enable customers to use the deferred payment service when purchasing airline tickets, buying Oasis Club miles, and booking Kuwait Airways Holidays and other related services. Al-Shatti said the service will initially be available through Kuwait Airways’ sales offices and its call center (171), adding that it will later be introduced through the airline’s official website and mobile application during the second phase of implementation. He noted that the partnership, the first of its kind between Kuwait Airways and Taly, reflects the national carrier’s commitment to enhancing its digital services and providing innovative payment solutions that meet customers’ expectations while improving the travel experience from the moment of booking.

Al-Shatti added that the agreement forms part of the airline’s strategy to advance digital transformation and introduce innovative solutions that enhance customer experience, stressing that Kuwait Airways continues to roll out new electronic services in line with the latest developments in the aviation sector. He said the airline remains committed to offering flexible and secure payment options throughout the customer journey, from booking to arrival, noting that the deferred payment service represents a valuable addition to its digital services by simplifying booking procedures and providing more diverse payment options in line with international best practices. In turn, Taly Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder Bader Al-Bader said the partnership marks an important milestone in the company’s expansion strategy and its efforts to provide flexible digital financial solutions that meet customers’ needs.

He noted that Taly became the first Kuwaiti buy-nowpay- later company to join the Central Bank of Kuwait’s regulatory sandbox in 2022 before obtaining its official license from the central bank in 2025, reflecting the company’s commitment to the highest standards of compliance and governance. Al-Bader added that the partnership underscores Kuwait Airways’ commitment to adopting the latest digital solutions and collaborating with leading national companies to enhance service quality and customer experience in line with its strategy of innovation and value creation for travelers.
