KUWAIT CITY: Kuwait Airways Corporation (KAC) has launched its first commercial flight to Dubai using its new fleet of “Boeing Failaka B777-300ER” aircraft, the company announced on Thursday. The new fleet has begun commercial operations after a series of tests, a statement by the company noted. Moreover, the statement cited KAC Chairwoman Rasha Al-Roumi as saying that “the new fleet has flown two test flights to Dubai, which represents a step towards success and a change in strategy for the national carrier.” Even though Boeing aircrafts are better suited for long-distance flights, Dubai remains one of the most popular destinations for travelers, she noted. On average, Kuwait Airways operates around 21 flights per week to Dubai. (KUNA)
