KUWAIT CITY, Jan 7: The delegation from the French football club, Paris Saint-Germain, arrived in the State of Kuwait on Tuesday evening aboard a Kuwait Airways aircraft, as part of preparations to participate in the French Super Cup. Upon arrival, the team was received by Kuwait Airways Chairman, Captain Abdulmohsen Salem Al-Fagaan, and Kuwait Football Association Chairman, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, along with several officials.

The team’s arrival precedes the highly anticipated match between Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique de Marseille, scheduled for 8 January 2026, at the Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, as part of the French Super Cup, for which Kuwait Airways serves as the main sponsor.

On this occasion, Kuwait Airways Chairman, Captain Abdulmohsen Salem Al-Fagaan, stated that Kuwait Airways had allocated a Boeing 777 aircraft to transport the Paris Saint-Germain delegation, while providing all necessary facilities and services to ensure the team’s comfort from the moment of arrival. He emphasized that this initiative reflects Kuwait Airways’ commitment to supporting the success of the match and delivering a distinguished experience for the participating teams.

Al-Fagaan noted that Kuwait Airways’ sponsorship of this prominent sporting event highlights the company’s continued support for major international sports events and its national role in showcasing the State of Kuwait’s capabilities as a host of world-class tournaments organized in accordance with the highest standards.

He added that hosting the French Super Cup represents a significant milestone in promoting sports tourism in Kuwait, contributing to the attraction of visitors, boosting tourism activity, and enhancing the country’s modern and positive image on the international sporting stage.
