KUWAIT CITY, Jan 21: In response to mounting complaints and in a bid to enhance its competitive edge, sources confirmed to Al-Seyassah daily that the Kuwait Airways' Board of Directors is reportedly in the process of evaluating a reduction in flight prices and associated reservation modification fees. This potential shift comes amid concerns that other airlines are capitalizing on the comparatively higher prices of Kuwait Airways' tickets.

The Board, established in September of the preceding year, has undertaken the task of overhauling various facets of Kuwait Airways to reinforce its position as the national carrier and meet the evolving expectations of its diverse customer base. As part of this comprehensive strategy, the airline is focusing on operational improvements and service enhancements.

Sources reveal that Kuwait Airways has set ambitious targets, including a concerted effort to increase passenger numbers to 5.5 million by 2025. Furthermore, the airline is eyeing substantial fleet expansion, with plans to augment its current fleet of 33 aircraft to a robust 50 by the year 2030.

This contemplated adjustment in pricing and reservation fees underscore Kuwait Airways' commitment to adaptability and competitiveness within the aviation sector. As the airline endeavors to strike a balance between customer satisfaction and operational efficiency, these potential changes aim to position Kuwait Airways as a responsive and customer-centric player in the dynamic aviation market.
