KUWAIT CITY, Aug 17: Kuwait Customs authorities have foiled an attempt to smuggle the synthetic drug through Terminal 4 of Kuwait International Airport.

Customs inspectors at T4 intercepted a British visitor arriving from the United Kingdom after subjecting the passenger and his luggage to routine customs inspection.

A search uncovered 228 A4-sized sheets suspected of being infused with the narcotic substance known as “meth ” in Arabic Shabu

Customs officials prepared an arrest report and referred the passenger, along with the seized items, to the General Department for Narcotics Control for necessary legal action.

The General Administration of Customs said its officers will continue efforts to prevent attempts to smuggle prohibited substances and strengthen controls at Kuwait’s entry points to protect national security and public safety.
