Kuwait Airport Security in Fistfight Over Traffic Ticket Refusal

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 22:  In a follow-up story about the Ministry of Interior initiated an investigation into a video showing a dispute among security personnel at Kuwait International Airport. Disciplinary actions and necessary measures are being taken in response. Security sources revealed that the fight stemmed from a traffic violation that some of the involved cops refused to register against a friend. The incident occurred at the departure gate, involving security forces and traffic police, with the use of knives by security personnel. The disagreement originated when airport security personnel declined to issue a traffic ticket to their friend, escalating into a physical altercation.

One individual used a sharp weapon, resulting in injuries. The individuals involved were restrained and referred to the airport security department for further investigation. A detailed report will be submitted to Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Acting Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, and the Undersecretary for appropriate legal actions.
