Kuwait Airlifts Fresh Food Supplies

KUWAIT CITY, March 13: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Kuwait) announced the arrival of the first Kuwait Airways flight carrying shipments of fresh food to Kuwait, including meat, fruits, vegetables and other essential items.

In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Friday, the ministry said the step was carried out in coordination with relevant authorities and in cooperation with the private sector to speed up the arrival of food supplies and strengthen market availability.

The ministry added that the shipments were transferred to specially prepared warehouses equipped with the necessary facilities to preserve food according to approved standards, ahead of distribution to retail outlets across the country.

It emphasized that the initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to maintain market stability, ensure the availability of food products and meet consumer demand.

The ministry also reaffirmed its commitment to providing the required support for the air transport of food shipments, in partnership with the private sector, to ensure their rapid delivery to local markets.
