KUWAIT CITY, May 28: Kuwait's air defense systems are actively confronting hostile missile and drone attacks, according to a statement issued by the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army.
The military said that the sounds of explosions heard in various areas are the result of air defense systems intercepting incoming threats and do not necessarily indicate impacts on the ground.
The General Staff urged the public to remain calm and strictly adhere to all security and safety instructions issued by the relevant authorities. Citizens and residents were also advised to follow official channels for updates and avoid spreading unverified information.
Authorities did not immediately provide further details regarding the origin of the attacks or any potential damage resulting from the interceptions. Security agencies continue to monitor the situation closely.
