KUWAIT CITY, Dec 6: The Ministry of Health on Friday inaugurated the Dermatology Departments Council Conference under the theme “Highlighting Rare Skin Diseases and Chronic Immunological Diseases.” The two-day conference brings together specialists to discuss the latest developments in dermatology and immunological care.
Speaking on behalf of the conference patron, Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, Undersecretary Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi said the event is in line with the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening healthcare services and advancing specialised medical fields, particularly those related to rare and chronic immunological skin diseases. He noted that the conference aims to establish a solid scientific platform that keeps pace with the latest global advances in dermatological treatment.
Dr. Al-Mutairi added that the conference contributes to enhancing the scientific and practical skills of healthcare professionals, promotes the exchange of expertise with specialists from the Arab region and other countries, and supports the continuous development of dermatology services.
He expressed his appreciation to the organizing committee for their dedicated efforts, stressing that their work played a key role in the conference’s success in a manner befitting the State of Kuwait. He also praised the participants for enriching the scientific program with their knowledge and clinical experience.
Dr. Al-Mutairi noted that the conference coincides with the celebration of graduates of the Kuwaiti Board of Dermatology for 2025, describing it as a tangible outcome of the Ministry of Health’s cooperation with the Kuwait Institute for Medical Specializations. He emphasized that this collaboration helps develop medical competencies and provides a training environment aligned with international standards, ensuring the preparation of a qualified national medical workforce capable of fulfilling its responsibilities with efficiency and dedication.
