Kuwait Activates Sirens as Part of Emergency Readiness Measures

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 28: Sirens were activated across Kuwait on Saturday evening, coinciding with reports of joint U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iranian cities. The Ministry of Interior confirmed the activation, explaining that the intermittent tone signals imminent danger or a potential disaster scenario.

Authorities urged citizens and expats to remain calm, turn off gas and electricity sources, and remove any flammable materials from exposed areas. The Ministry also advised the public to avoid using elevators, instead taking emergency exits or stairwells, and move to lower floors or designated shelters for safety.

Officials called on everyone to follow updates and civil defense instructions through official media outlets to ensure public protection and coordinated response.
