KUWAIT CITY, Nov 1: The national 3x3 basketball team’s delegation embarked on their journey to Doha, the capital of Qatar where they are all set to compete in the 3x3 basketball Gulf Championship scheduled for Friday.

Leading the delegation is Mishal Muhammad, a member of the Federation’s Board of Directors and Vice-Chairman of the 3x3 basketball Committee. The contingent includes coach Salman Ramadan and eight players who will represent Kuwait in accordance with the tournament’s format. These players are Ahmed Al-Balushi, Alexander Al-Ghais, Turki Hamoud, Imran Johar, Ali Al-Hadhhoud, Abdulaziz Al-Hamidi, Abdul-Mohsen Mortada, and Muhammad Adnan.

Meshal Mohammed, the head of the delegation, emphasized that the team underwent rigorous training under Coach Salman Ramadan’s guidance in preparation for the tournament. He highlighted the players’ excellent physical condition and mentioned that the coach had meticulously selected the best players for the competition, aiming for optimal results.

Mohammed anticipated fierce competition in the tournament, particularly from the Gulf teams, with Qatar being a strong contender, having won silver in the recent Asian Games. He further revealed that the Federation’s 3x3 basketball Committee had laid out a comprehensive program for 3x3 tournaments, with the aim of elevating the Federation’s standing in this sport.
