KUWAIT CITY, Jan 26: During a press conference on the third Kuwait National Robotics Championship, the Faculty of Science at Kuwait University announced the objectives of the tournament and highlighted the university’s role in hosting the event, reports Al-Seyassah daily. Nearly 130 teams from various age groups participated in the championship, which reflects the university’s commitment to supporting innovation, science, and technology, and emphasizing its partnership with the Public Authority for Youth in empowering young people and promoting a culture of robotics and Artificial Intelligence in society.
The acting Dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Haider Behbehani, stated that the qualifying rounds for the championship will be held from February 1 to February 8. He explained that the winning teams will qualify for the finals, which will be held in the United States. The championship is in line with the political leadership’s focus on youth and investing in the future. Through initiatives like this, the university aims to empower students and develop their skills in innovation, robotics, and artificial intelligence.
