KUWAIT CITY, Feb 14: The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) announced plans to launch its annual campaign, “Ramadhan Al-Khair,” across 13 countries worldwide in celebration of the holy month of Ramadan. Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer, Chairperson of KRCS, emphasized Kuwait’s steadfast commitment to humanitarian principles and its dedication to assisting those in need, particularly during Ramadan.

In a statement to KUNA, Dr. Al-Sayer underscored the significance of Kuwait’s support for individuals facing various challenges, highlighting the country’s tradition of aiding the less fortunate, especially during Ramadan. The annual Iftar campaign aims to provide essential support to impoverished individuals by distributing meals, and food baskets, and hosting banquets.

Dr. Al-Sayer emphasized that these initiatives align with Kuwait’s prominent humanitarian role, guided by the directives of its political leadership to extend assistance to disadvantaged families globally. This year’s Ramadan projects will span 13 countries in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, reflecting KRCS’s commitment to reaching diverse communities in need.

The Chairperson highlighted the campaign’s importance in promoting the values of generosity and philanthropy, particularly during the sacred month of Ramadan.
