KUWAIT CITY, Oct 29, (Agencies): Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer, the Chief of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS), expressed his appreciation for the humanitarian efforts undertaken by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in providing aid to those in need. Following his meeting with Mamadou Sow, the Head of the ICRC Regional Delegation for the GCC countries, Dr. Al-Sayer reaffirmed KRCS's commitment to collaborating with international humanitarian organizations, with a particular focus on the ICRC, for the betterment of humanity.

During their meeting, both officials deliberated on their existing collaboration and explored future prospects for reinforcing international humanitarian endeavors. They also discussed strategies to support joint initiatives in response to humanitarian crises and disasters in the region. Dr. Al-Sayer presented an in-depth overview of Kuwait's efforts in aiding the people of Gaza who are affected by Israeli aggression, emphasizing the need for international intervention and humanitarian organizations to halt these actions and facilitate the delivery of vital humanitarian aid.

Mamadou Sow provided an overview of ICRC's actions in delivering immediate humanitarian aid and addressing the urgent requirements of the Gaza Strip's residents. He commended KRCS for its cooperative and responsive approach within the humanitarian framework, aiming to ameliorate the conditions of those impacted by disasters and crises, especially in the Middle East. Sow highlighted KRCS as a vital partner of the ICRC and called for increased cooperation and coordination with the Committee in countries experiencing challenging humanitarian circumstances.
