KUWAIT CITY, Jan 21: Managing Director for Global Marketing at Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Sheikh Khaled Ahmad Al- Sabah confirmed that the country recently sent the first shipment of crude oil — two million barrels — to Duqm Refinery in Oman, reports Al- Rai daily. In a press statement, Sheikh Khaled disclosed that “this is the first shipment to the refinery, in which Kuwait is a partner through the International Petroleum Company. It is in preparation for the experimental operations.

The Kuwaiti foreign oil projects are part of the oil sector’s strategy and one of the safe outlets for Kuwaiti oil marketing.” He stated that the Global Marketing Sector regularly reviews the processes in a bid to preserve traditional markets and open new ones in light of the fierce competition in global markets and continuous geopolitical changes.
