KPC regulates work timings for staff in the current scenario

KUWAIT CITY, March 3: Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) has issued a circular to regulate the working hours during the current period. According to the circular, official working hours during the holy month of Ramadan will be 9:00am - 9:30am to 3:00pm – 3:30pm daily. Employees are required to perform their duties during these hours, whether at the workplace or remotely, in a manner that serves the public interest and in accordance with instructions issued by the Health, Safety, Security, and Environment Department.

Managers, team leaders, and employees at their level are required to report to work daily, along with staff whose presence is necessary based on the nature of their work. The responsible manager will determine which employees need to be present. Only 30 percent of employees below the department head level are required to report to work until further notice. In line with the provisions of paragraph two, the number of employees - below the team leader level - required to be physically present at the workplace should, as far as possible, not exceed 30 percent of the total departmental workforce daily during this period.

The responsible manager is authorized to determine which employees must be physically present and which can work entirely remotely, based on the needs and nature of the work, while ensuring operational continuity and maintaining the quality of performance and work outputs. The manager is also responsible for monitoring employee attendance and departure. This circular is effective from March 2, 2026, until further notice.
