KPC appoints new heads of ‘affiliated’ companies

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 4, (KUNA): The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) appointed on Sunday the new heads of companies affiliated with the corporation, said a statement. KPC’s Deputy Chairman of the Board and CEO Hashem Sayed Hashem said in a press release that the new heads will lead their respected companies for the upcoming three years.

This was decided at a KPC meeting chaired by Minister of Oil and Minister of Water and Electricity Dr. Khaled Al-Fadhel who is also chairman of the board. Sanad Al-Sanad was appointed as chairman of the board of Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), Hamza Bakhsh became chairman of the Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), and Hamad Al-Terkait was assigned to chairman Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC), revealed Hashem.

Hashem said that Qassem Al-Majadi was appointed as Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC) while Ahmad Habib, Bader Al-Khashti, Fuad Al-Abbasi, and Sheikh Ali Humoud Al-Sabah were chosen as chairmen of Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC), Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC), Kuwait Gulf Oil Company (KGOC), and Petroleum Services Company (PSC) respectively.

Fahad Al-Ajmi and Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Sabah filled in the Chairman and CEO positions of the KPC Holdings (Aruba) respectively, indicated Hashem who added that the latter was also assigned as acting CEO of KUFPEC.

Hashem said Hatem Al-Awadhi was named acting CEO of KIPIC, Ali Shehab as acting CEO of KOTC, Abdullah Al-Sumaiti as acting CEO of KGOC, and Nasser Al-Shemaa’ acting CEO of PSC. He added that Abdulnasser Al-Fulaij was appointed as Managing Director for global marketing at KPC, Waleed Al-Bader named CEO of KNPC and Emad Sultan named CEO of KOC and Mutlaq Al-Azmi as CEO of PIC.
