KUWAIT CITY, Dec 10: The CEO of the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) Jamal Ja’afar has been informed that his resignation has been approved by Minister of Oil and Minister of Electricity and Water Engineer Bakhit Al-Rasheedi, reports Al-Rai daily.

Thursday will be the last working day for Ja’afar who has served the company for 37 years. The sources pointed out that the appointment of new senior officials will be the responsibility of the new Board of Directors of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation.

They added that the retirement of senior officials is linked to the end of their official number of years of service. “In the coming days, the oil sector will witness surprises in appointments of executive executives, their deputies, commissioners and their deputies,” said Manahi Al-Enezi, Executive Vice-President of the KOC.
