KOC unveils new enterprise risk platform

KUWAIT CITY, June 28: Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) has provided a vital information platform, as part of the development of the comprehensive risk management system, in coordination with Kuwait Petroleum Corporation KPC, say reliable sources. Sources pointed out that this system saves time and effort, indicating the total cost is about $1 million. Sources said the system eases the preparation of risk reports of KPC and its subsidiaries, and improves the decision-making process. Sources confirmed that KOC is keen on using the latest digital technologies to improve decision-making and achieve more efficient operational results, adding that these efforts include using advanced data analysis systems, such as industrial intelligence and automation of processes, to improve performance and reduce costs. Sources revealed that the company optimizes drilling operations by applying techniques that provide predictive analyses contributing to the improvement of the quality of decisions. The company aspires to move forward in the implementation of the Wadi Ahmadi Innovation Project.

Meanwhile, the overall risk management team organized a two-day training workshop on the new institutional risk management system in the oil sector with the participation of the representatives of risk management teams in the eight subsidiaries of KPC. Risk analyst in the Risk Management Team Sheikha Al-Subaie presented a detailed explanation of the functions of the modern system and how to use it in the introduction, modernization and effective risk data. Al-Subaie reviewed the tasks of other officials, particularly the user management mechanisms and groups within the institutional work environment. Moreover, sources revealed that June 30, 2026 is the 80th anniversary of the first Kuwaiti oil export loaded on a British tanker at 7:00 am on 30 June 1946 under the patronage and in the presence of HH the then Amir Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al- Sabah. A huge number of British officials, including British Political Agent in Kuwait Colonel Harold Dickson and many citizens attended the event
