In statements confirming gasoline and other fuels are available in abundance, official sources at the Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) said the production at the Ahmadi gasoline refinery is up to 36,000 barrels per day all of which goes to the local market, saying it exceeds the domestic demand.

As for the strategic stockpile of gasoline, it is about 160 tons, equivalent to 1.07 million barrels, which is good enough for at least 30 days, while the gas stock is sufficient for more than 3 months.

The ministry in a press release said it has taken measures with the Kuwait Insurance Company and with all supply branches in the country in this regard and explained the strategic stock of foodstuffs in the supply outlets is enough for six months and in some cases for a whole year.

The ministry stressed that it has prepared plans and taken precautionary measures to face any emergency and called on traders to get information on the nature of its work from the right sources.
