KOC managers told to report back on duty

KUWAIT CITY, June 15: Deputy CEO for Administrative Affairs at Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) Qusay Al-Amer issued a circular to the group managers, instructing them to start working in their offices normally on June 16 in order to prepare for the resumption of work for team leaders and employees in line with second stage of the plan to return to normal life gradually, which is expected to begin next week.

The circular is based on the management’s adoption of the above mentioned plan and out of concern for the employees, such that all the facilities and equipment are ready once they report back to work and to ensure they work in a safe environment.

Zakat House Board of Directors held a meeting on Sunday chaired by the Minister of Justice, Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, and Board Chairman of the Zakat House Dr Fahd Al-Afasy to review reports submitted on the findings of the committee in charge of examining the current state of the coronavirus crisis, as well as decisions and recommendations of the committee in support of the governmental and civil efforts in that regard.

Zakat House in a statement said one of the most important decisions and recommendations made was the exemption of commercial unit tenants from paying the rental value throughout the period of inactivity in accordance with the decisions of the Council of Ministers and the exemption rules specified by the committee in the form of providing evidence of damage or suspension.

In the case of activity, 25 percent of the rental value will be deducted until 30/9/2020, it added, stressing the committee decided to reduce rental value of the housing units of Zakat House by 25 percent for a period of six months according to specific rules.

Statement added the board reviewed the operating report of the resource centers of Zakat House, which the Committee recommended operating during the current crisis.

The aim was to use the 12 resource centers for enhancing the financial resources of the House to enable the sector play its community role, in addition to providing a quick collection service to make it easy for donors to pay their donations.
