KUWAIT CITY, Aug 31: Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) Eng. Emad Sultan has issued administrative instructions to make some administrative and organizational changes in the company.

Under the circular No. 2019/12, a copy of which has been obtained by the daily, according to the instructions substantial changes have been made in the names of some of the company’s directorates and deputy chief executives, in addition to merging some departments under one designation.

Qusai Nasser Al-Amer has been appointed Deputy Chief Executive, while the Planning and Commercial Directorate was renamed the Directorate of Planning and Financial Affairs and Badr Ibrahim Al-Attar has been appointed as its Deputy Chief Executive.

The circular included the renaming of the Directorate of Joint Services to become the Directorate of Commercial and Shared Services, with Abdul Wahab Mohammed Al-Methen as Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

The changes include the transfer of the Ahmadi Services Group to the Directorate of Administrative Affairs, with Nouri Yousef Al-Khatrash appointed as Director, while the Planning and Support Task Force of the Administrative and Financial Affairs has been renamed and Yusuf Saadoun Al-Rukaibi was appointed Chairman.

The change also touched on transferring the contract group to the Commercial and Shared Services Directorate, with Aisha Al-Salili continuing to be the group’s director, adding the procurement and materials management group to the Commercial and Joint Services Directorate, Khalid Al-Adasani as its director, and the Commercial Support Group to the Commercial Directorate.

The circular renamed the Planning Services Joint Working Group to become the Commercial Planning and Joint Services Task Force. Osama Al-Thuwaini is appointed as the Chairman of the two groups.

The Management Support Group has been transferred to the Directorate of Planning and Financial Affairs with Musleh Badah Al-Otaibi appointed as its Director. The Joint Information Technology Group has been transferred to the Directorate of Planning and Financial Affairs.

Finally, the Innovation and Technology Group has been transferred to the Directorate of Exploration and Gas and Ahmed Al Jasmi continues to be its Director.
