KOC awards tender for Jurassic wells to ‘second lowest’ bidder

KUWAIT CITY, April 3: The Kuwait Oil Company has decided to award the tender for security and safety improvements and the control, supervision and data collection system for Jurassic wells in northern Kuwait to the Heavy Engineering Industries and Shipbuilding Company, reports Al-Anba daily. The company had reportedly submitted the second lowest offer at 15.8 million dinars and conformed to the conditions and specifications.

Meanwhile, it has been decided to postpone the upcoming meeting, as the matter was referred to the technical sector for further study. In a related context, the Kuwait Oil Company decided to fl oat a tender for the construction of a substation for main consumption in Al- Rawdatain in the gathering centers 15 and 25.
