KNPC advances plans for SAF & low-carbon aviation fuel

The new roadmap is considered the foundation for developing a smart and low-emission infrastructure that covers all oil facilities, including the facilities affiliated with Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC), which was merged with KNPC recently. The source confirmed the completion of the preliminary feasibility study for renewable energy sources and their alternatives, pointing out that the actual work started by drawing an integrated road map which includes technological applications and environmental initiatives aimed to reduce carbon emissions, such that this step is considered a fundamental shift in the march of the local oil sector towards environmental sustainability and reliance on clean energy solutions.
