KUWAIT CITY, Nov 11: The General Traffic Department has announced the issuance of Resolution No. (2) of 2025, approving the official list of companies authorized to issue civil liability insurance policies for traffic accidents—commonly known as mandatory vehicle insurance for all Kuwaiti-registered vehicles.
The department emphasized that only the companies listed in the approved decision are legally permitted to issue compulsory motor insurance policies for citizens and residents. It urged all vehicle owners to verify that they are dealing exclusively with approved and accredited companies when issuing or renewing their insurance policies.
According to Resolution No. (2) of 2025, the following companies have been officially approved:
- Kuwait Insurance Company
- Al-Ahleia Insurance Company
- Baitak Takaful Insurance Company
- Gulf Insurance Group
- Gulf Takaful Insurance Company
- National Insurance Company
- Al-Daman Takaful Insurance Company
- Warba Insurance and Reinsurance Company
- Arab Islamic Takaful Insurance Company
- The First Takaful Insurance Company
- Zamzam Takaful Insurance Company
- Bahrain Kuwait Insurance Company (Kuwait Branch)
- Kuwait International Takaful Insurance Company
- Gulf Insurance and Reinsurance Company
- Lebanese Swiss Guarantee Company
- Kuwaiti Qatari Insurance Company
- Enaya Insurance Company
- Saudi Arabian Insurance Company (Kuwait Branch)
- Burgan Takaful Insurance Company
- Arab Insurance Company

The department concluded by stressing the importance of adhering to authorized providers to ensure the validity of insurance coverage and compliance with traffic regulations.
