KUWAIT CITY, Feb 4: Jordanian administrative expert Moatasem Al-Siddiq has announced the launch of “Knights of the Arabs for Fans” (AKF), a groundbreaking initiative to organize and lead Arab supporters at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The project aims to transform fan presence from spontaneous cheering into a form of “popular diplomacy”, showcasing Arab chivalry and ethics.
The initiative is backed by an advisory council of prominent Arab figures, including Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Khalidi (Kuwait), Engineer Madani Al-Mahdi (Sudan/USA), and leading sports and cultural personalities from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Morocco, and Iraq, ensuring broad Arab representation and cross-border coordination.
Al-Siddiq emphasized that the program goes beyond organizing chants. Partnering with the Amina Foundation, it seeks to train the “cultured knight” — fans who combine sporting passion with moral discipline, acting as ambassadors for their countries and the Arab world.
The vision extends beyond 2026, positioning the initiative as the official organized fan partner for Morocco 2030 and Saudi Arabia 2034, aiming to establish a lasting legacy for Arab supporters.
The program invites ambitious young Arabs and influential sports figures to join, coordinating with national federations and official authorities to ensure that Arab fan sections appear united, disciplined, and proud, reflecting both heritage and future aspirations.
