KUWAIT CITY, Feb 15: A quiet night near the Al-Abdali border crossing turned into a scene of fear and betrayal after a 36-year-old citizen reported being robbed at knifepoint by a former friend.
According to security sources, the complainant, born in 1989, filed a report at the Al-Qash'aniyah Police Station accusing a 24-year-old Kuwaiti citizen, born in 2001, of threatening him with a knife at a camp in the Al-Abdali area and forcing him to hand over 36 dinars. The victim claimed the suspect brandished the weapon and threatened to kill him if he refused to comply, leaving him with no choice but to surrender the money under duress.
The General Department of Criminal Investigation has been assigned to probe the incident, which has been registered as a felony. Authorities are expected to summon the accused for questioning and confront him with the allegations, while also recording statements from any witnesses present at the camp to piece together the full circumstances behind the alleged crime.
