KNET levels up digital payments

KUWAIT CITY, June 6: The Shared Electronic Banking Services Company (KNET) announced on Saturday a new payment mechanism on its online payment portal as part of its ongoing modernization and digital transformation strategy. Beginning today (Saturday,) KNET will replace the existing bank selection lists with a direct and automated card input system, allowing users to enter their bank card numbers directly without fi rst selecting their bank from a menu.

KNET CEO Esam Al-Kheshnam said the upgrade is designed to provide a more efficient and seamless payment experience while aligning with international standards and strengthening the security of electronic transactions. He added that the new system forms is part of a broader development plan aimed at enhancing its electronic payment gateway and preparing the platform to accommodate additional payment methods in the future. Al-Kheshnam noted that the update reflects global trends in digital payments and supports efforts to improve the speed, flexibility and reliability of online transactions. KNET is a Kuwaiti company that was established in 1992 with the participation of local banks to connect all local banking systems and provide banking services through an advanced network, enhancing security and efficiency in financial transactions.
