KIPCO – the Kuwait Projects Company – has announced its Platinum Sponsorship of the 32nd Conference of the National Union of Kuwaiti Students – USA Branch (NUKS-USA). The event, sponsored by KIPCO for the fifth consecutive year, will be held on November 25-28 in San Diego, California.

This annual conference, the largest gathering of Kuwaitis outside of their homeland, is being held this year under the slogan ‘Awakening Kuwait’s Dream’.

Ms Eman Al-Awadhi, KIPCO’s Group Communications Director, said:

“With more than 3,700 students participating in last year’s NUKS-USA Conference, KIPCO’s sponsorship of this event has become increasingly important. Every year, representatives of our Group companies share their experiences with the students to encourage them to seek a career in the private sector. This year in particular, we will be increasing efforts to actively seek and recruit promising young Kuwaiti talents into our Group companies. We are looking forward to this year’s conference and to interacting with the students in the different events in which we will be involved.”

As a Platinum Sponsor, KIPCO will be addressing students during the Opening Ceremony and will also be the sponsor of the Closing Ceremony.

Burgan Bank – KIPCO’s largest investment – and United Facilities Management – KIPCO’s property management arm and a subsidiary of United Real Estate – will be interviewing select students for positions in the two companies.

KIPCO and Burgan Bank will be taking part in the Job Fair. Besides highlighting the career opportunities for graduating students, this year’s Job Fair promises to be more engaging for the students.

To prepare students to embrace their careers after graduation, KIPCO is holding a workshop entitled ‘Campus to Corporate’. The workshop is co-organized by Burgan Bank and the Center for Continued Education at the American University of Kuwait.
