RIYADH, Apr 7: The King Fahad Causeway has been temporarily closed to traffic once again for the second time today as a precautionary measure amid heightened regional security alerts, Saudi authorities said.

The suspension followed warnings issued by the National Early Warning Platform in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, prompting immediate action to ensure the safety of travellers using the key cross-border route.

The King Fahd Causeway Authority said the decision prioritises commuter safety and reflects ongoing precautionary measures to protect users of the vital link between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
