Killer surrenders at border

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 22: An unidentified young man who was wanted by law for killing his friend on a road in Kabad off the Seventh Ring Road has surrendered to detectives at the Salmi border post, reports Al-Rai daily. The suspect had reportedly escaped to Saudi Arabia after committing the crime and returned to Kuwait upon the advice of his family. The killer has been referred to the Criminal Investigations Department. However, according to Al-Shahed daily the alleged murderer and his accomplice have been arrested by the Saudi Interpol and are expected to be handed over to the Kuwaiti authorities over the next 48 hours.

Duo held with ‘pills’: The Jahra police have arrested two Kuwaitis for possessing 440 Captagon pills and referred them to the authorities, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added, the men were initially arrested for reckless driving in a suburb of Sa’ad Al-Abdullah. It has been reported the men were also disoriented at the time of arrest
