KIB promotes financial literacy and banking awareness at Ooredoo headquarters

Kuwait City, Sep 21: For the third year in a row, Kuwait International Bank (KIB) announced its continuous support of the ‘Let’s Be Aware’ (Diraya) financial awareness campaign, which was launched by the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) and the Kuwait Banking Association (KBA) in cooperation with local banks. The Bank’s steady support stems from its constant keenness to develop the financial culture of its customers and spread banking awareness among all targeted segments of society.KIB recently set up a booth at the headquarters of Ooredoo Kuwait to introduce the company’s employees to the various banking products and services it can provide based on their personal needs and lifestyles. Representatives at the KIB booth also helped them understand the various aspects related to financial affairs and how to manage them in light of the developments in banking services. In addition, they raised awareness around the risks and challenges involved, the most important being the various forms of electronic fraud.Commenting on the occasion, Yacoub Ashkanani, Area Manager at KIB, said: “Commitment to effective communication with customers across various sectors and spreading financial literacy among company employees like Ooredoo comes at the top of our priorities. We also believe in the importance of promoting financial culture and building strong customer relationships, which serve as pillars of success in the banking sector. This practice is a fundamental step towards building a society that is more aware of digital banking developments, and more capable of understanding their influences.” Ashkanani expressed his admiration for how the Bank’s employees connected with their peers at Ooredoo, as they provided comprehensive information about KIB’s financial and banking services. They also put special focus on the specific products and promotions suiting each individual and explained all the associated benefits, including digital solutions, promotional offers, and campaigns. Moreover, KIB representatives made sure to enhance the understanding of Ooredoo employees on the basic standards for the safe use of banking cards, applications, and digital channels.
