KIB Mubader Center concludes its sponsorship of Startups Expo

Kuwait City, Mar 19: Kuwait International Bank (KIB) announced that its subsidiary, KIB Mubader Center, sponsored the Startups Expo, which recently took place at A5 Mall in Shuwaikh. The expo featured a distinguished lineup of small and medium-sized projects from various fields. This step comes as part of the Bank’s and KIB Mubader Center’s continuous efforts to support events that support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and Kuwaiti entrepreneurs. It underscores the importance of this vital sector in Kuwait in general, and the crucial role of the private sector in driving the local economy forward.

Commenting on the occasion, Mohammad Al-Huwaidi, Head of Mubader, expressed his delight in sponsoring this distinguished exhibition, saying: “It was an exceptional opportunity and an important meeting point for SMEs and service providers from various fields. It was also a unique platform that witnessed the presentation of diverse products and solutions from both sides, the exchange of experiences, and the exploration of potential business opportunities and partnerships.”

Al-Huwaidi added: “As part of our participation in the exhibition, we offered a workshop that discussed a number of topics, issues, ideas, and projects, and touched on how to benefit from modern entrepreneurship models in establishing and developing projects.” He noted that KIB Mubader Center seeks to contribute to the creation of a new generation of talented Kuwaiti entrepreneurs, guiding them to become capable of leading the transformation journey pursued by the State of Kuwait within the framework of its leadership vision to become a leading financial and commercial hub at the regional level.

The exhibition witnessed significant participation from numerous SMEs from various sectors, including marketing and advertising, design, photography studios, accounting firms, feasibility study offices, consulting firms, interior and exterior design, application and website development, financial technology and payments, delivery and logistics, international shipping, storage, packaging, printing, office and shop rental, business incubators, and recruitment and human resources.

It is worth noting that KIB established KIB Mubader Center to work alongside Kuwaiti entrepreneurs and SME business owners, as an incubator and accelerator within a comprehensive qualification system. The Bank aims to ensure the provision of necessary support to entrepreneurs at every stage of their business journey by providing multi-level training and professional packages, along with a series of services that meet the needs of the local entrepreneurship environment on a broader scale.
