MANAMA, Oct 27, (KUNA): Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al- Jubeir said on Saturday that those involved in the case of Saudi national Jamal Khashoggi will be tried in the Kingdom, stressing the need to hold officials accountable after the investigations in Saudi Arabia and Turkey.

Al-Jubeir said in a speech during the 14th Manama Dialogue forum that no positions should be taken and that no one should be blamed before the investigation is complete, stressing that the facts unfold as the investigation proceeds. He also revealed that Saudi Arabia will adopt mechanisms for non-repetition of such an incident, while describing Turkey as a friendly country and the Kingdom has good trade and investment relations with Turkey.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, said earlier that justice will take its course fully and firmly in the case and that those convicted will receive deterrent penalty. He said that those involved in the case did not represent the Kingdom’s principles and values. The Saudi Public Prosecution said that information received from the Turkish side indicates that the suspects in the Khashoggi case have done their deed with a premeditated intention.
