KUWAIT CITY, Nov 1: In line with the directives of His Excellency the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, and as part of ongoing efforts to uphold the rule of law and ensure the safety of road users, Kuwait’s security authorities carried out a large-scale security and traffic campaign in the Al-Khairan area on the evening of Friday, October 31, 2025.
The coordinated operation involved multiple departments, including the General Traffic Department, the General Emergency Police Department, and the General Security Systems Department. The campaign was conducted under the direct supervision of Major General Hamed Manahi Al-Dawwas, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs, and was led on the ground by Brigadier Abdullah Ahmed Al-Ateeqi, Head of the Traffic and Operations Sector, along with Brigadier Anwar Ahmed Al-Yatami, Head of the Human Resources and Information Technology Sector.
The comprehensive campaign produced significant results, reflecting the authorities’ determination to enhance public security and enforce traffic discipline. Key outcomes included:
- 467 various traffic violations recorded.
- 10 individuals detained for various offenses.
- One person arrested under an existing warrant.
- One individual apprehended for violating residency laws.
- Three individuals referred for not carrying a valid driver’s license.
- One juvenile referred to the Public Prosecution.
- Two vehicles and one motorcycle wanted by the judiciary referred for legal action.
- Twenty vehicles and motorcycles impounded and transferred to the impound yard.
The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to carrying out intensive security and traffic campaigns across all governorates, emphasizing that strict legal measures will continue to be taken against violators. These operations, the Ministry stated, are vital to preserving the safety and security of both citizens and residents.
