Kuwait City, Feb 13: Held under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Kuwait Finance House (KFH) took part in the 14th International Invention Fair in the Middle East (IIFME), which was organized by Kuwait Science Club (KSC) and supported by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS).
The award ceremony was attended by the Minister of Education and Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Adel Al-Adwani, representing His Highness the Amir, Chairman of the Kuwait Science Club and the Organizing Committee of IIFME Talal Al-Kharafi, who lauded KFH’s significant contribution to the exhibition's success, inspiring Kuwaiti youth, promoting science, knowledge, and innovation initiatives. He also commended KFH’s continuous participation in international events held in Kuwait, as well as its extensive collaboration with KSC across various initiatives.
During the ceremony, KFH Deputy General Manager Public Relations and Media, Yousef Abdullah Al-Ruwaieh, received an honor on behalf of the bank for its outstanding contribution.
On this occasion, Al-Ruwaieh said that KFH's participation as a strategic partner demonstrates its constant commitment towards scientific endeavors and young innovators by providing them with the opportunity to showcase their inventions and utilize them for societal development at all levels.
Al-Ruwaieh pointed out that the exhibition received 14 inventions from 21 Kuwaiti inventors representing various scientific institutions such as Kuwait University, Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR), Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity, and others, with six Kuwaitis being successful in winning prizes.
He noted that KFH is always committed to participating in such events as part of its social responsibility and supporting young talents. The Bank also focuses on supporting inventors from Arab and other regions, particularly Kuwaiti inventors, reaping the benefits for Kuwaiti society in general.
Al-Ruwaieh highlighted the importance of the ongoing support for initiatives that foster a culture of innovation, while also focusing on youth’s potential. He added that this support is aligned with KFH's strategy to empower youth, promote innovation and digital transformation, stimulating sustainable development, and maintaining KFH’s leading position in social responsibility.
It worth noting that over 200 inventions were submitted in the exhibition, which witnessed a participation of forty Arab and foreign countries.
