Kuwait City, July 16: Kuwait Finance House (KFH) honored the winners of its Environmental Sustainability Award during its participation in the College of Engineering and Petroleum's 46th Engineering Design Exhibition. KFH's award recognizes projects that focus on sustainability and environmental issues. The first and second-place winners among the students were presented with an award for their outstanding projects.

KFH’s Environmental Sustainability Award, which the Bank has allocated for the third consecutive time, is an extension of its integrated sustainability strategy and part of its (Keep it Green) environmental campaign.

The winning projects were announced at the exhibition's closing ceremony, held under the patronage of Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, Minister of Public Works and State for Municipal Affairs. Dr. Khalid AlHazza, Acting Dean of the College of Engineering and Petroleum was also in attendance. The projects underwent a thorough evaluation by a specialized committee, which assessed all aspects of the participating entries.

Executive Manager Corporate Relations and CSR, Faisal Al-surayye, affirmed KFH’s ceaseless efforts to support graduating students, participants of the Engineering Design Exhibition and their distinguished projects.

He added: “KFH is one of the main and largest supporters of Engineering graduates. KFH supported around 300 graduation projects for students throughout the year.”

Meanwhile, Acting Dean of College of Engineering and Petroleum, Dr. Khalid AlHazza, praised KFH’s role in supporting students and education through initiatives and sponsorships that are of high value and impact on exceptional students.

It is worth noting that KFH has been a major supporter of the Engineering Design Exhibition, held twice annually, once per semester. KFH's support aligns with its commitment to sponsoring students, education, and youth initiatives. By fostering a thriving scientific environment through the necessary support for developing young scientific talent, KFH aims to encourage scientific endeavors that contribute to the country's progress.
