KFH honors trainees of Kuwait Society for the Handicapped

Kuwait City, Dec 12: Kuwait Finance House (KFH) has concluded the third edition of the training program that focused on training students with special needs at various KFH departments in collaboration with the Kuwait Society for the Handicapped (KSH).

The training program encompassed various practical aspects to upskill trainees’ talents and improve their skills by working in different departments at KFH.

During the program, the trainees concluded 100 training hours in different departments (HR, branches, Cards, Products). Additionally, Several KFH employees conducted brief training sessions to familiarize trainees with the diverse skills that define KFH human talents, such as photography and public speaking. The trainees found these courses enjoyable, and they experienced increased confidence and potential as a result.

KFH has taken the advantage of this initiative, which is the first of its kind at the banking sector level in Kuwait, to grant students with special needs the opportunity to engage with society, learn new skills, and gain experience through direct interaction with employees and customers.

Group Chief Human Resources and Transformation Officer, Zeyad Al Omar expressed his happiness with the huge effort made by the trainees during their training period. He addressed his speech in the ceremony to them and their parents:“This year, we are honored to have trained 10 participants with special needs who have made an influential presence across KFH departments,” said Al Omar. “Undoubtedly, these initiatives contribute to creating employment opportunities that offer wellbeing and financial stability due to the support they receive from KFH colleagues and KSH.”

He emphasized KFH’s commitment to annually renewing the strategic partnership with KSH, aiming to support individuals with special needs and provide them training aligned with the highest standards.

Thanks to its leading standing as the largest Islamic bank in Kuwait and the second largest bank in the world, Al Omar affirmed KFH’s continued promise to offer the support needed at all levels for people with special needs as part of the Bank’s strategy.

“At KFH, we strongly believe that training opportunities like this initiative can hone personal skills and potential of individuals with special needs. It is a strategic step towards integrating them into the society and labor market,” said Al Omar.

He highlighted KFH’s dedication to initiatives that extend its array of services for people with special needs. The Bank takes pride in organizing specialized training for its staff, including Sign Language courses, to facilitate communication with this unique customer segment. Additionally, KFH dedicated a branch in each governorate equipped with the required tools and resources to serve them.

Meanwhile, Chair of the Board of Kuwait Society for the Handicapped, Sabeeka Al-Jasser, lauded KFH’s dedicated endeavors and interest in supporting KSH members.

She expressed her sincere gratitude for the remarkable improvement towards integrating individuals with special needs into the community and strengthening cooperation ties with KFH to better serve this segment of society.

Al-Jasser commended KFH’s outstanding efforts that are evident each year in developing and adding services, as well as recruiting competent talents that contribute to increasing the effectiveness of the program and enhancing the skills of trainees to hire them for future employment opportunities.
