LOS ANGELES, May 4: The longstanding feud between hip hop heavyweights Kendrick Lamar and Drake has reached new heights with the release of scathing diss tracks from both artists, delving into personal territory and dragging their families into the fray.

The feud reignited earlier this week when Lamar fired back at Drake’s earlier tracks with his own retaliation titled “Euphoria,” labeling the Canadian rapper a “scam artist.” Not to be outdone, Drake responded on Friday with “Family Matters,” aiming at Lamar’s parenting abilities with lyrics like, “Why you never hold your son and tell him to say cheese. We could have left the kids out of this don’t blame me,” in apparent retaliation to Lamar’s insinuations about his fatherhood skills.

The exchange of verbal blows didn’t stop there. In “Family Matters,” Drake hinted at doubts about the paternity of one of Lamar’s children. Meanwhile, Lamar’s track “Meet the Grahams” aimed at Drake’s son Adonis, as well as his parents Sandra and Dennis Graham, with Lamar apologizing to Adonis for his father’s shortcomings.

The feud between Drake and Lamar, two of the most prominent figures in the hip-hop scene, has simmered for years, with subtle jabs exchanged in their music. However, the recent barrage of diss tracks marks a significant escalation, showcasing a more personal and direct approach to their rivalry.

Notably, last month Drake released “Push Ups,” mocking Lamar’s collaborations with Taylor Swift and Maroon 5, followed by “Taylor Made Freestyle,” which criticized Lamar for not responding to previous provocations. The latter track sparked controversy for its use of an AI-generated voice resembling the late Tupac Shakur, prompting threats of legal action from Shakur’s estate.

Lamar’s “Euphoria” served as a direct response to Drake’s taunts, dismissing him as a “scam artist” with aspirations of gaining acceptance in the rap world.

As the feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake continues to escalate, fans eagerly await their next moves, wondering if this war of words will reach a resolution or if it will further intensify in the coming weeks.
