Domnic Savio meet KOC Greens in 1st semis game

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 24: Kuwait Expatriate Hockey Association’s (KEHA) last weekend of playoff matches of the prestigious International Red Hockey Championship concluded at the KOC Field Hockey Grounds, Ahmadi Park on Friday.

In a decisive semifinal position game, Team Domnic Savio faced a 9-man Kuwait Hockey Kings team, to eventually win with 2 goals, one each off the stick of Mahmoud and Leo Rodrigues. None could find the net for the opposition. This result puts Team Domnic Savio in 3rd position at the end of the playoff stage.

The evening’s beautiful weather and well-watered greens saw Khalid and Zahid of KOC Greens share the spoils, beating International Red to maintain their 2nd position. They now face Team Domnic Savio in the 1st semifinal game, on Oct 26 at 3 pm.

In his message, Lawrence Alphonso, president of the host team International Red, thanked Al-Mulla Automotive & The Sultan Center for extending their generous support towards organizing this Championship. KOC Blues will face Kuwait Independence Hockey in the 2nd semifinal game to be held on Oct 26 at 4 pm at the KOC Field Hockey Grounds, Ahmadi Park.
