KD 75 deducted from Expat teachers salaries for reasons unknown

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 26: A number of expatriate teachers revealed that nearly KD 75 has been deducted from the salary of each teacher due to unknown reasons, reports Al-Rai daily.

They said the financial sector of Ministry of Education has asked the affected teachers to visit the salaries section in the main office of the ministry to find out the reason.

The teachers indicated that almost the same value has been deducted from the salaries of a number of expatriate teachers.

Meanwhile, an educational source reassured the teachers that the ministry would not randomly deduct such an amount from the salaries of the teachers without a reason, indicating that it could be a form of punishment or based on reports of absenteeism or by mistake.
