KUWAIT CITY, Oct 20: The Court of Appeal has ordered the Ministry of Finance to pay KD 20,000 in full blood money (diya) to the heirs of an expatriate who died in an incident in which the perpetrator or person responsible could not be identified.

The ruling, described as final, was issued in a case filed by lawyer Khaled Ayash Al-Enezi on behalf of the deceased’s heirs.

The court ordered the ministry to pay the full amount of the legally prescribed blood money as compensation to the family after the person responsible for the incident could not be identified.

The judgment provides financial compensation to the deceased’s heirs under the applicable legal provisions.

Further details about the incident and the circumstances of the expatriate’s death were not provided in the available information.
