Kuwait Badshah defeat host Nepal by 27 runs

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 21: The Kuwait Badshah Cricket Club (KBCC) won their first ever International Veterans T20 Cricket Bilateral Series in Nepal at TU Stadium, Kathmandu Nepal The visitors defeated the Nepali veterans’ team by 27 runs in the third and final match of the series. Batting first, the KBCC posted 201-9 in their allotted 20 overs, while Nepal managed 174-7 in reply.

Khurram Shahzad scored 109 for KBCC, while Adith Kumara contributed 37. Vikash Singh and Kiran Rana took three wickets each for the Nepali team. In reply, Krithartha Shakya scored 63 and Dipendra Chaudhary scored 55 runs for the home side but didn’t impress the visitors. Jamshaid Azmat and Naeem Shahid grabbed two wickets each for KBCC. Khurram Shahzad of KBCC was declared the player of the series, while his teammate Jamshaid Azmat was named the best bowler. Kritartha Shakya was adjudged the best batter.

President of the Veteran Cricket Association of Nepal Bijay Sharma and other dignitaries handed over prizes to the winners of the series. Captain of Kuwait Badshah Cricket Club, Mohammad Hafeez, expresses his gratitude after winning the series. He thanked all the Players, Management and media Personals to make this happen and in future, looking forward for more Bilateral Series to enhance and develop the cooperation between two sides.
