KUWAIT CITY, July 20: Kazma's first volleyball team has launched its pre-season programme under Kuwaiti coach Saad Yaqoub as the Orange side gears up for the new campaign, which begins in early September with the resumption of the remaining 2025-26 competitions.
Yaqoub said the opening phase of training is centred on building the players' physical fitness through conditioning and strength sessions, while also incorporating ball work to regain match sharpness.
He added that the squad has reported well for training, with only a few absentees due to military commitments. National team players Fahad Saad Yaqoub and Ali Saadoun are also unavailable as they compete for Kuwait at the Second West Asia Men's Volleyball Championship in Muscat.
The coach revealed that Brazilian coach Kakarato, along with the rest of the technical staff and foreign players Costa of Brazil and Indonesia's Farhan, are scheduled to join the team in early August, allowing preparations to move into their next phase.
Kazma is also planning a two-week training camp in Cairo during the second half of August. The club is awaiting approval from Kuwait's Public Authority for Sports before confirming the camp.
Yaqoub said the preparation programme is aimed at ensuring the team is fully ready for a long and demanding season, stressing that Kazma will target every competition and strive to produce performances worthy of its fans' expectations.
