A hard-fought duel between Fahad Al-Hajri and an opponent during a competitive encounter.

KUWAIT CITY, July 15: Kazma has made its first foreign signing of the summer transfer window after securing the services of Brazilian striker Patrick Robson as part of its preparations for the upcoming season.

The 1998-born forward, also known as Patrick Alvinete, joins the Orange side after an impressive spell with Cambodian club Svay Rieng, where he helped the team reach the AFC Challenge League final last season before losing the title to Kuwait Club.

Kazma has also strengthened its squad with the signings of Fahad Al-Hajri and Ahmed Al-Zanki from Kuwait Club, while the club has renewed the contract of midfielder Nasser Lafi.

Al-Hajri bid farewell to Kuwait SC after 14 years, describing his departure as one of the most difficult moments of his career.

“After 14 years with Kuwait Club, the time has come to say goodbye. It is one of the hardest moments I have experienced,” Al-Hajri said.

He added: “I was honoured to wear the shirt of this great club. During this journey, we achieved 35 championships together through teamwork, dedication, and sacrifice. I will always be proud of every moment I spent there.”

Al-Hajri thanked Kuwait SC honorary president Marzouq Al-Ghanem, chairman Khalid Al-Ghanem, treasurer Fahad Al-Ghanem, and former president Abdulaziz Al-Marzouq for their support and trust, while also praising the efforts of the administrative, medical, and technical staff who contributed to the club’s success.

He also expressed his appreciation to Kuwait Club fans, saying their support and encouragement would always remain in his memory.

Meanwhile, Kazma coach Dragan Tadic has set next Tuesday as the start date for pre-season training, with preparations continuing until July 26, when the team will travel to Turkey for an overseas training camp featuring several friendly matches.

The new season will begin with the Premier League on August 25.

Elsewhere, Qadsia has permitted defenders Faisal Al-Shatti and Mohammad Al-Sharifi to search for new clubs on loan deals.

Al-Shatti, 24, and Al-Sharifi, 21, have previously represented Kuwait’s national teams.

In another move, Al-Salmiya has signed Arab Club and Kuwait youth international Ahmed Khorshid on a one-season loan deal.
